Surrey Sculpture Society welcomes sculptor Sam Shendi. Egyptian born Sam Shendi was the 2013 winner of the Royal British Society of Sculptors’ FIRST@108 Public Art Award.

He creates joyfully coloured extractions of the human figure which, with the subtlest of indicators, hint at the complexity of human interactions. Shendi studied Monumental and Architectural Sculpture at the University of Helwan in Cairo and his work has been widely exhibited and collected across Europe and beyond.
