SSS Sculpture Showcase 2023
We are delighted to, once again, start the year with our annual Sculpture Showcase at the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington.
From
Saturday 25 February 2023
.
Until
Sunday 5 March 2023
Time
Open Daily 10am-5pm
We have nine days at this Teddington landmark in which to show case our talent, with a rare opportunity to exhibit both 2D and 3D works. We hope that every one of our artists will take the opportunity to apply for this, our first exhibition of 2023.
This year, we are excited to welcome Jeremy Moulsdale https://www.jeremymoulsdale.co.uk/ as our Signature Artist. He will be exhibiting with us and will be sharing insights into his practice during the event.
Applications: 2D and 3D. Applications will be accepted for indoor 3D work of any size – as long as a work will fit through the doors, anything goes! For those of you who also produce two-dimensional work, then as long as you submit a 3D application, we would love to see your applications to exhibit your drawings and paintings with us too. (There will be limited space for 2D exhibits which are over 90cm wide)
(We will again be able to exhibit 2-3 sculptures outdoors. However, the outdoor space is not secure and pieces will therefore be exhibited at the artist’s own risk. If you would like to have a piece of work considered for the outdoor space, then please contact me directly for more information.)
GET INVOLVED:
Showcase your talent. We are looking for a couple of people to do demonstrations on weekend mornings from 11am – 1pm. If you feel that you want to showcase your talent in this way, please volunteer your skills via the application form.
Involve the community. We are looking to repeat the very successful Have A Go With Clay sessions which we ran last year on weekend afternoons. If you are able to help with these all-age activity sessions, again, tick the box on the application forms.
Tell your story: We are hoping to encourage visits by local school children across the week. If you feel able to tell the children the story of how you became an artist and help inspire the next generation, then again, please volunteer your time via the application forms.
STEWARDING: We require stewarding throughout the event to serve refreshments and operate our sales desk. Each exhibiting artist will be asked to undertake up to three stewarding sessions over the course of the nine days with full training on the sales tools given to everyone beforehand. Please fill out one of the stewarding forms as well as your application to exhibit. This is a requirement for all applicants.
We are very much looking forward to receiving your applications by Thursday 9 December and look forward to seeing you at Landmark in February.
Many thanks and kind regards,
Caroline Wheaton - Exhibition Manager
