Nina Roe
Initially trained at The London College of Fashion as a Make up Artist I had to sculpt & make special effects. I observed the human body through my work during photographic sessions and became inspired by the elegance of the human form.
So I moved into the world of sculpture more, sculpting out of clay & expressing my passion.
I was particularly inspired by ballet dancers who showed such flow & elegance in their body as they moved. This has really inspired me in my sculpting.
I’m also attracted to the beautiful bone structure of African women & again this has inspired me to sculpt them.
I usually sculpt out of clay & often the final pieces made into bronze resin.
