Felicity Raybould
Felicity began sculpting in 2007 after a career as a teacher and lecturer for the Dyslexia Institute. After attending master-classes in portrait sculpture and in the human figure she completed a certificate course at the Art Academy in 2013.
Her models usually begin life in clay and are then fired or moulded for editions to be cast in bronze or bronze-resins.
Her interest is in portraiture and the human figure. She often uses musicians as subjects because, while immersed in their music, they become the conduit for powerful expressions of feeling. Some of her work portrays the intense focus of sportsmen as they strive to excel.
Felicity exhibits in the South-East and London. For example she has shown work at Pashley Manor, East Sussex and with the Surrey Sculpture Society at Guildford Cathedral, Fulham Palace and at RHS Wisley. She exhibits regularly at Ightham Mote with East Surrey Sculptors and has shown work at the Chelsea Art Society Exhibition.
She has had a number of commissions and has work in collections in UK, on the Continent and in USA.
