Anna Pohorely
Anna Pohorely studied Craft, Design and Technology at Goldsmiths College, London.
Anna takes her inspiration from the idiosyncrasies and quirks of nature using the natural beauty in the surroundings as a springboard for her designs. Her sculptures have varied from figurative work ranging from babies, dogs, plants and fish and giant dragonflies to more abstract natural forms.
She has been fascinated by the way in which movement adds a new dimension to her artwork. Anna is presently specialising in kinetic sculptures which spin in the breeze. They are based on natural forms and made out of stainless steel, copper and aluminium.
Anna lives in Shalford, (near Guildford) and has exhibited her work at a variety of locations in Surrey and London. She is also involved with community sculpture projects and is happy to discuss commissions.
